Warning
Heaps and "The Heap" are NOT the same thing.
Heaps come in two different forms a min heap and a max heap. This will be talking about a min heap but a max heap is just the same thing in reverse.
In a min heap the elements are all smaller than their children so as you go down the tree the elements get bigger
